Thomas Rhett brought an upbeat performance to the 2019 American Music Awards stage on Sunday night (Nov. 24). The country star partied with the front-row fans while singing his hit "Look What God Gave Her."

Rhett bounced around a fog-filled stage for most of his 2019 AMAs performance, but near the end, he bounded into the crowd to jump along with the fans enjoying the show. Following Rhett's performance, the singer shared a cause that's important to him, Feeding America, in a taped segment.

"Look What God Gave Her" was Rhett's first single from his newest studio album, Center Point Road. He co-wrote the track with producer Julian Bunetta, his dad Rhett Akins, J Cash and John Ryan, but Rhett came into the process late.

"It actually started in a room without me," Rhett shares, "about a month before I ever heard it." But when Bunetta played the track for Rhett, "I was just completely hooked and addicted to the melody, what the song said, the beat, the tempo." He asked to cut the song, but also suggested adding a bridge to it -- and that's how he became a co-writer on "Look What God Gave Her," along with adjusting some of the second verse to make the song more personal.

Rhett is currently climbing the country charts with his second Center Point Road single, "Remember You Young." In personal news, the country star and his wife are preparing for the arrival of their third child in early 2020.
