The Swon Brothers Explain Brad Paisley’s Huge Influence on Their Music
The Swon Brothers, the duo made up of brothers Zach and Colton Swon, earned a coveted spot on the 2015 leg of Brad Paisley's Country Nation World Tour, and the siblings couldn't be happier with the gig.
“The man is already a legend,” Colton Swon tells Country Music is Love of their tour boss. “He’s one of the most talented singers and guitar players on this earth, and we got a lot to learn -- and what a great guy to learn from."
Adds Zach Swon, “I can’t tell you what this means to me. I've always considered myself to be a musician before I am a singer, and I've grown up covering Brad Paisley songs and trying my best to fake a little bit of what he does on the guitar.”
The Swon Brothers, who came in third on Season 4 of 'The Voice' and were members of Blake Shelton's team, released their self-titled album last year.
“We were so picky with what songs we put on this record,” Colton Swon says. “And we said a little prayer before every session with the musicians, just praying that it goes well. You get one shot at this.”
