The Rustlanders — New Faces
Artist: The Rustlanders
Sounds Like: The Band meets Pat Green
Hometown: State College, Penn.
Why We Dig Them: The Rustlanders' eclectic sound reflects the rock, country and blues influences of bandmates Corry Drake (bass), Jason Mcintyre (guitar/vocals), Chris Rattie (drums/vocals), John Rattie (B-3 organ/vocals) and Jason "Junior" Tutwiler (guitar). The touring troubadours have been pleasing audiences from the Keystone state to the Lonestar state with story songs such as 'Blind Faith,' the 'woe-is-me' tune 'Holdin' Out' and the infectious 'Beginning to Show Through,' all tracks from their self-titled debut album.
The guys have some famous fans, including Keith Urban, who requested them to open for him on his May 2009 tour stop in State College. The Rustlanders have also toured with Ryan Bingham and Cross Canadian Ragweed.
