Northern Ireland-bred country band The Rising's three members have varied musical tastes, to say the least. The trio's Chris Logan, Chantelle McAteer and Brian Mellors compiled a playlist for The Boot that draws from old-school country, classic rock, modern pop and more.

One favorite act they have in common: Keith Urban. The superstar appears twice on this 25-song playlist; both Logan and McAteer selected songs of his to include, though McAteer admits that it was Logan who turned her onto Urban's music in the first place.

"I instantly fell in love with his voice … his eyes … his hair … his … anyway …," McAteer says. Logan, meanwhile, calls Urban his "favorite modern country artist" and also his all-time favorite guitarist.

Logan plays guitar in The Rising, and his portion of the playlist focuses on some of music's best guitarists: Queen's Brian May ("the reason I play guitar," according to Logan), Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham and more. McAteer's picks include Fleetwood Mac as well, plus a number of powerhoue female vocalists: Carrie Underwood, Ariana Grande and more.

Now comprised of Logan on guitar, banjo and mandolin; McAteer on vocals; and Mellors on bass, The Rising just released Moving On, their third studio album, on Aug. 3. Since dropping their debut album, Coming Home, in 2014, they've weathered some lineup changes and gained momentum in both the United Kingdom and in the U.S.
