The Henningsens Ready Christmas Album, New Music for 2015

Family trio the Henningsens will release a holiday album, 'Our Family Christmas,' on Nov. 17. The record includes a brand-new tune, written by brother Aaron Henningsen, which they described to The Boot during 2014 CMA Awards week.

"It's called 'Christmas Kissin,'" his sister Clara Henningsen boasts of the song, which includes guest vocals by Jerrod Niemann. "It's original. It's really fun. It's kind of like a 'Baby, It's Cold Outside' kind of a vibe."

Several classic holiday carols also landed on 'Our Family Christmas,' including 'White Christmas,' 'Silent Night' and 'O Come, O Come Emmanuel.'

“We really wanted to make it very traditional in the songs and the melodies, but a lot of our arrangements are new, modern, cool arrangements," father Brian Henningsen adds.

The threesome, whose self-titled EP was released last year, are planning on releasing a new album next year. But first, Clara will have to take some time off to welcome her first child with husband Jacob Calaway. She is due in the spring.

"We're writing and recording. We've recorded some this year," Brian says. "Clara's going to have a baby, so we'll have to take a little time off during that time, but we've got a lot of writing to do and recording."
