Since their marriage in 2007, T.G. Sheppard and Kelly Lang have gotten non-stop requests to record a duets album. Now, their fans can finally celebrate with the upcoming release of 'Iconic Duets.'

"People have asked us to record or to sing together, and we put it off," Lang tells Billboard. "I didn't want people to think that's all we did. I wanted to establish some music on my own."

The new album features the couple's renditions of many famous collaborations, including 'Jackson' and 'Golden Ring.'

"We have had a blast cutting songs that everyone will recognize – things that he and I have loved that we felt the fans would be able to connect with and enjoy," Lang says. "Hopefully, they can hear our love together on the tracks."

Sheppard has had experience recording with artists like Karen Brooks and Clint Eastwood, and he says that while he thinks working on duets is much more difficult than recording solo, he enjoyed being in the studio with Lang.

"It has been one of the most rewarding projects I have done," he says in the Billboard interview. "I had a blast doing it with Kelly. We laughed a lot, and got a chance to record songs that we both have loved for so long."
