There's no better way to celebrate the 35th anniversary of TG Sheppard's song "Party Time" than with a tour. The country singer will embark on his Party Time Tour in early 2017.

Sheppard's career spans five decades and includes 20-plus albums and more than a dozen chart-topping singles. During his Party Time Tour, Sheppard will, of course, play "Party Time," but fans will also hear No. 1 hits such as “I Loved ‘Em Every One,” “Do You Wanna Go to Heaven” and “Last Cheater’s Waltz.”

“I’m so amazed, now more than ever, being on the road, looking out into the audiences night after night and seeing fans sing along to my music,” Sheppard says in a press release. “It’s always great to be able to look out and see familiar faces that have followed our music, while also seeing a whole new generation of traditional country music fans.”

"Party Time" was included on Sheppard's 1981 album I Love 'Em All and released as a single in June of that year. In addition to landing on top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, the tune was one of the most-requested songs of 1981.

Sheppard tells The Boot, "“I’m proud that I’ve made a difference in people’s lives. When people walk up to you at a concert and say, ‘My mom died last year, and you changed her life with a song,’ that’s touching. Or if somebody walks up to you and says, ‘I fell in love to your song and married the person, and right now we have two beautiful children,’ or whatever. It’s little things like that through your life and career.”

Sheppard is currently set to begin touring in 2017 on Jan. 14, in Crossville, Tenn.; however, new dates are being added to his calendar all the time. An up-to-date list of all of the stops on the Party Time Tour is available on Sheppard's website.
