Terri Clark ‘Classic’ Album Features Beloved Hits & Friends
Terri Clark pays tribute to her musical heroes on Classic, the Canadian country superstar's tenth studio album, set to hit stores Tuesday (Nov. 13). The new project features Terri's take on country classics spanning the 1950s through the '80s, including Kitty Wells' "It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels," Delbert McClinton's "Two More Bottles of Wine" and Loretta Lynn's "Don't Come Home a Drinkin' (With Lovin' on Your Mind)." (See the full track list below, and listen to the full album for free here.)
"This is the type of project I've wanted to do my whole life. It represents so many things for me -- my family roots, the Opry, my influences, and many of the songs that make up the fabric of country music," says the platinum-selling singer whose musical style has always leaned traditional.
Five of the eleven tracks on Classic are duets: Reba joins Terri on the "Malibu Country" star's own 1984 hit, "How Blue," while Tanya Tucker sings on the song that shot her to superstardom back in 1972, "Delta Dawn." Dierks Bentley sings George Jones' part on "Golden Ring," with Terri doing Tammy Wynette proud. Dean Brody lends his vocals to Johnny Cash's "I'm Movin' On," and Jann Arden harmonizes with Terri on the Patsy Cline classic, "Leavin' on Your Mind."
