Taylor Swift might be feeling a bit presidential today. On Tuesday night, the singer/songwriter was honored with the President's Award from performing rights organization BMI (Broadcast Music Incorporated).

BMI held its 57th annual Pop Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, also recognizing their 50 most-performed pop songs of the year. Taylor's 'Teardrops on My Guitar' was among that prestigious group.

The BMI President's Award, honoring "an exceptional individual in the entertainment industry deserving of special recognition," according to BMI's official news release, is presented "only when an individual has distinctly and profoundly influenced the industry."

'Bubbly,' written and performed by Taylor's pal Cobie Caillat was BMI's Pop Song of the Year.
