Taylor Swift Is Single — and Good at It

Taylor Swift is perfectly fine on her own, thank you very much. The 22-year-old superstar insists that, in spite of singing about love and heartbreak, she is content without a significant other in her life.

"I'm actually really good at being single," Taylor tells Access Hollywood. "As much as I love to complain about it, I'm actually very independent and I'm fine. I'm really good by myself."

The singer says her chart-topping tunes are not a true indicator of her feelings about flying solo. "I do love to complain about being single, even though I'm really fine with it," she adds.

The reigning ACM and CMA Entertainer of the Year acknowledges that her fame can be an obstacle for potential suitors -- but is quick to add that she isn't concerned by that detail. "I don't think it ever bothers guys when things are good in the beginning," notes the blond beauty. "I think it bothers them in the end when things aren't good, but ... then it's not really my problem anymore, to care what they think about it."

The 'Ours' singer acknowledges being in a relationship can make her lose her mind a little bit.

"I'm a Sagittarius, and one of our major qualities is that we're blindly optimistic," Taylor confessed recently to Jay Leno on 'The Tonight Show.' "So when I'm in love, I'm just stupid about it! And I trust people ... constantly. And then I always am like, 'I'm not gonna trust people anymore, I'm gonna be one of those dark, twisty girls that guys love because they're all guarded.' And then I just trust people again!"

Taylor has a big weekend planned. In addition to the opening of her latest film, 'The Lorax,' on Friday (March 2), in which she voices the character Audrey, the singer-songwriter will also kick off the final leg of her record-breaking Speak Now world tour, in Perth, Australia.
