"Lay Me Down" was inspired by Cauthen's grandfather.

"I had the hook of the song up in Wichita Falls, [Texas], at this old warehouse, with this old weed dealer that I used to go and buy weed from ..."

The two artists are good friends, and Cauthen also admires Houser's "powerhouse" vocals.

Paul Cauthen returned to AmericanaFest in 2019 -- and he brought all his rowdy friends along for the ride.

Which events are you most looking forward to at this year's festival?
