Eden had her doubts about being able to be herself in the country music genre.

"When the chorus hit, tears just starting falling down her face," she said, smiling. "I was like, ‘Got her.'"

In both her music and her personal life, Brooke Eden has been able to be her most authentic self since publicly coming out in January.

"I'm just so grateful that our genre has icons like Trisha Yearwood, who is will to stand up for love and be an ally."

The singer was told she could either keep her career or keep her girlfriend. She called that bluff with a song.

"Love is love," Yearwood states.
