Shay Mooney’s Baby Boy Has Arrived!

He's here! Shay Mooney's son, Asher James Mooney, arrived on Tuesday (Jan. 24) afternoon.

After the Dan + Shay member and his fiancee, Hannah Billingsley, welcomed their baby boy, he shared the good news with his fans on Instagram, around 7PM ET.

"It's hard to describe the love you feel for the first time when you hold your child," Mooney writes. "I will never be the same."

Mooney also shared two promises, one to his new child and one to his future wife: "I promise to be the father you deserve" and "I promise to be the husband you want and need."

"I love you both so much," Mooney adds. "You've given me everything I never knew I needed."

Mooney and Billingsley announced that they were expecting in early October. At the end of December, they revealed their first child's name and gender; "Asher" means “fortunate; blessed; happy one." The couple got engaged in early August.

Mooney and his duo partner Dan Smyers released their sophomore project, Obsessed, in early June; their current single is “How Not To.”
