Shania Twain has survived a tumultuous few years in the wake of her ex-husband, Robert 'Mutt' Lange's alleged affair with her former close friend, Marie-Anne Thiébaud. But while most women would relish the opportunity to speak their mind to the mistress, Shania reveals the long-awaited moment came -- and she was speechless.

"I had a total panic attack," she recalls to People magazine, when the two women accidentally ran into each other near Shania's home. "I just told her that she was a bad person – that's all I could get out!"

Later, after the moment passed, the singer regretted the restraint she exhibited. "When I left her, I thought [to myself], 'You're such a wimp, you coward!'" she admits. "That was my big moment, and I blew it!"

While recovering from her painful divorce, the mother of 10-year-old son Eja found love again -- ironically with Marie-Anne's former husband, Frédéric Thiébaud, whom Shania wed on New Year's Day. "Fred has given me a second lease on love," she says.

The newlyweds will have to carve out time to continue their love story while Shania keeps up with a hectic work schedule. The Canadian Music Hall of Fame member is traveling across the country, promoting her new autobiography, 'From This Moment On,' which was released last week. Her life is also being chronicled in a new reality series, 'Why Not?' on Oprah Winfrey's OWN network. She is also working on a new album, and will make her long-awaited return to the country music stage at CMA Music Fest, held June 9 to 12, where she will also be on hand to sign autographs.

Tickets for the CMA Music Fest are available here.
