Secretary Denies Breaking Up Shania Twain’s Marriage

The woman some sources say is having an affair with Shania Twain's husband is denying the allegations. E! television called Marie-Anne Thiébaud at her home in Geneva, Switzerland to ask about the breakup of Twain's 14-year marriage to Robert "Mutt" Lange. Thiébaud was quick to dismiss any involvement.

"I know what you're ringing to ask me about," she told the E! reporter. "But when marriages break up they break up for all sorts of complicated reasons, it's never just one reason. And those reasons should be kept private. If you're looking for a person that broke up a marriage then you have the wrong person. I'm not that person."

Thiébaud worked at Twain and Lange's Swiss estate for several years as their family's secretary and house manager. She says she is now retired.
