Russell Crowe Performs ‘Folsom Prison Blues’ on ‘The Tonight Show’
Russell Crowe joined Jimmy Fallon for a performance of Johnny Cash's hit song 'Folsom Prison Blues' on 'The Tonight Show.'
Crowe played guitar and sang the famous Cash song while Fallon accompanied the 'Noah' star on harmonica along with the 'Tonight Show' house band, the Roots.
As they began the performance, Crowe asked Fallon, "Do you mind if we do an old Australian folk song?" to which the show's host replied, "Yeah, we love old Australian folk songs."
"It's by, uh, Johnny ... Cash," Crowe said to laughs as he began strumming his guitar.
Crowe is no stranger to the music industry. In the 80s, the actor was the lead singer in the Australian band 30 Odd Foot of Grunts. He also proved his vocal chops on the big screen in 2012 when he played Jalvert in 'Les Miserables.'
