Texas country star Rich O’Toole, who has had 14 Top 10 hits at Texas radio, embarked on his national Jaded Tour on Oct. 9. He’ll visit more than 20 cities before the trek wraps up in Nashville in November, co-headlining some dates with the Novel Ideas and supporting Corey Smith and Joe Ely on select dates as well. Throughout the duration of his tour, O’Toole will be a guest blogger on The Boot, providing a weekly tour diary entry about life on the road with his band and crew.

So we pulled out of Oklahoma after a great run with Corey Smith ... Couple days of "R and R" before shows in Minnesota and Wisconsin! What better town to be in than Kansas City during October while the Royals make their first World Series appearance since 1985. We rented a loft in downtown and got right down to taking in all the sights, sounds and smells KC had to offer. First stop was the historical City Market for a home-cooked meal and wine for the band and crew, followed by stumbling into a local watering hole, PBR Big Sky Bar, where the bull got the best of O'Toole!

The next day was a crucial must-win Game 6 for the Royals, so we cruised down to the famous Power & Light District, but first we grabbed a quick bite at KC's famous BBQ joint, Jack Stack. With full stomachs and the first pitch minutes away, it was time to get a ringside seat at the Power & Light District, courtesy of Adam and Jason of Kansas City Limits at 106.5 The Wolf. We watched the Royals win Game 6 in a 10-0 shutout!

The next morning, we went from Royal Blue to Wisconsin Green & Yellow as we traveled to the Cheese State for shows in Madison and Milwaukee ... but not before stopping in Minneapolis, Minn., for a set at the famous 7th St. Entry. There was no sighting of Prince, but we did have a great night of rockin' a packed house of friends, family and our tourmates, Massachusetts' own the Novel Ideas.

After laying down some hotel inspiration for a new track, the next day was Halloween, and the band was ready to take on Badger Country dressed to the nines. Dolled up and decked out, we hit the strip to mingle with the people of Madison.

After a much-needed breakfast from legendary Monty's Blue Plate Diner, we headed off to Milwaukee to bring in November in style at Club Girabaldi. Then, traveling through the night, we wandered into New York to begin our New England run of the Jaded Tour. We start in Syracuse to record a new tune with the band and then head down to Brooklyn, Boston and D.C. to bring some Texas country rock 'n' roll to the East Coast.

Tune in next week for our next tour diary, as well an an exclusive look behind the scenes of our time in the studio cutting a new track called 'Shell.' Follow us on Twitter, and we will see you next week on the Jaded Tour!
