Reese Witherspoon may be a famous Hollywood actress, but at home she is just Mom -- and not always a cool one. Her 9-year-old daughter, Ava, recently lectured Witherspoon about acceptable behavior at a Carrie Underwood concert.

"She said, 'Mom, I really appreciate you taking me to the concert, but will you please not embarrass me in front of Carrie Underwood by singing? She's a real singer and you're just, like a movie singer," Witherspoon tells Parents magazine, laughing about her daughter's pre-concert request.

Witherspoon, who portrayed June Carter Cash in the blockbuster hit 'Walk the Line,' learned to sing for the role, much to the chagrin of her daughter. "I love to sing around the house and in the car," she says, "but my daughter hates it."

Still, Witherspoon, also a mom to 5-year-old Deacon, is happy to not get any special treatment at home: "Realizing you're not anything special to the kids is always a great sort of reminder that you're just a regular person."
