Reba McEntire's recent performance at the opening of the billion dollar Dallas Cowboys Stadium featured a new -- and very appropriate song. 'I Want A Cowboy' will be among the tracks on the singer's 'Keep on Loving You' disc, set for release on August 18. The tune was co-written by singer-songwriter Katrina Elam, who included it on her self-titled debut album in 2004.

"I'm a huge fan of Katrina Elam," Reba tells "I love her singing, and I loved her album she had out a few years back. So I was talking to my producer, Tony Brown, who had co-produced Katrina's album, and asked him if there were any plans to do anything with the song 'I Want A Cowboy.' Tony called Katrina and asked her if she had any plans for the song, and she said, 'No, I don't think so -- why?' He told her I wanted to record it, and she thought that would be great. So we immediately went into the studio and cut it."

Considering Reba's string of multi-platinum albums, it's no wonder Katrina thought having her record the song was a great idea. But romance-minded cowboys might also have Reba to thank if the song brings them any luck with the ladies. Beginning next week, a special dance mix of 'I Want a Cowboy' will be heard in hundreds of country dance clubs across the nation.
