Reba McEntire Wins Best Roots Gospel Album at 2018 Grammy Awards

Reba McEntire's Sing It Now: Songs of Faith & Hope won Best Roots Gospel Album at the 2018 Grammy Awards. The honor was handed out during the Premiere Ceremony, which streamed online before the televised awards show.

"I'm a country artist, but I've been singing the songs that's on this album all my life ... and it's so great to get those songs on an album," McEntire said during her acceptance speech. "Our job in the entertainment business is to heal hearts. That's what God put me on this earth for ... I love my job. I'm so grateful to get to do it."

Sing It Now is a double-feature album, with traditional hymns and contemporary songs with a faith-based focus. "Back to God," the album's first single, was co-written by Randy Houser and Dallas Davidson.

Other nominees for the Best Roots Gospel Album award at the 2018 Grammys were the Collingsworth Family's The Best of the Collingsworth Family - Volume 1; Larry Cordle's Give Me Jesus; Joseph Habedank's Resurrection; and Karen Peck & New River's Hope for All Nations.
