Reba McEntire has signed on to host the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Club Series Awards ceremony in Las Vegas on Dec. 2. The singer has a unique kinship with the racing community, considering a member of her own family is an up-and-coming racer.

"Country music and NASCAR have shared fans for many years, so I'll feel right at home," Reba shares. "My family and I have gotten to meet so many nice people in the racing industry this year with my youngest son, Shelby, being one of the competitors."

Shelby Blackstock, son of Reba and husband/manager Narvel Blackstock, competes in GRAND-AM Road Racing competition. The 'Somebody's Chelsea' singer has attended several of the races this year. "That first time when that green flag drops, my stomach goes right to my throat, and then it goes back down and then I'm OK," she tells The Boot. "But, boy, that roar is tremendous."

The 2011 NASCAR Sprint Club Series Awards ceremony is set for Dec. 2 at the Wynn Las Vegas Resort. Reba previously performed prior to this year's NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Brickyard 400 presented by the singer's label home, Big Machine Records.
