Surprise! Randy Travis is a married man.

People reports that Travis married his longtime fiancee, Mary Davis, on March 21. The two were married by Pastor Tommy Nelson, from Denton, Texas, according to the Cooke (Texas) County Clerk's office.

Travis and Davis have been together since before Travis' stroke in July 2013. Davis has often been the one to report on Travis' progress in interviews; in November 2014, she was the one to reveal that the country legend was starting to write again and hadn't lost his ability to play guitar.

The newly married couple attended the 2015 ACM Awards on Sunday night (April 19), where Travis made a surprise appearance in the crowd after an on-stage introduction by Lee Brice. The 55-year-old received a thunderous round of applause.

“Randy’s history with the ACM Awards goes back over two decades,” Davis says. “With the awards in Dallas and celebrating 50 years, it’s something Randy and I would not miss.”

After the awards show, Travis posted a letter on his website, thanking his fans for their support during his long and difficult recovery.

"The power of music remains a source of inspiration and healing for me. Writing songs was always a passion of mine, and I still have a lot to share with you. It is my prayer that, with continued healing, one day soon, I will be back on that stage exchanging music with my fans … my friends, who with God’s amazing grace, have brought me this far," he writes. "As I work through music/speech/occupational/physical therapy, it is my hope that my songs of yesterday continue to touch your life in some way."

This marriage is the second for Travis. He divorced his first wife, Lib Hatcher -- who was also his manager -- in late 2010; they had been married since 1991.

The Boot sends our congratulations to Travis and Davis!
