Chris Stapleton and Kelsea Ballerini to Play Nashville’s New Year’s Eve Bash on Broadway
Chris Stapleton and Kelsea Ballerini will help Music City ring in the new year at the 2015 Jack Daniel's Bash on Broadway in downtown Nashville.
Celebrating its seventh year in 2015, the Bash on Broadway will feature seven bands performing on two stages throughout the night. In addition to Stapleton and Ballerini, partygoers will be able to catch performances from the Kings of Leon, Sugar & the High-Lows, the Whigs, Wild Cub and LANco. The event kicks off at 6PM CT and continues past midnight, when the drop of a music note (rather than a ball) will signal the beginning of the new year.
“This stellar lineup showcases the diversity of music being created in Nashville and will be one of the very best concerts taking place in the country on New Year’s Eve,” Ken Levitan, chairman of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp and president of Vector Management, says. “By adding a second stage, revelers will enjoy continuous music from the time we raise the music note to when it drops six hours later to rock in the new year."
The celebration at midnight will feature a lot more than just the music note drop, however: Event organizers have 200 pounds of confetti ready to go, as well as a fireworks display that will last for nearly five minutes.
Ballerini will help Nashville Mayor Megan Barry begin the 2015 Bash on Broadway by raising the music note at 5:45PM CT, just before the music begins. For more information about the event, visit its official website.
