Superfans of CMT's Nashville can now own clothing and accessories worn by the show's cast. According to CMT, more than 2,000 costumes worn by Connie Britton's Rayna Jaymes, Hayden Panettiere's Juliette Barnes, Charles Esten's Deacon Claybourne and other characters are being sold on the luxury retail site The Real Real. Prices range from $45 for Rag & Bone T-shirts worn by the cast to $2,495 for a Zuhair Murad sequined dress from Juliette's wardrobe. More than 250 additional costumes from the show are being kept for a possible exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
John Prine, Kacey Musgraves and Anderson East will soon tape episodes of the iconic music television show Austin City Limits. Prine is set to appear on June 5, with Musgraves following on June 6; East is scheduled to perform on June 22. After the shows are taped in Austin, Texas, they will later be broadcast on PBS as part of the show's 44th season.
The Band of Heathens have officially released a new EP. Titled Live Via Satellite, the five-song project follows 2017's critically-acclaimed Duende, and features covers of Dave Rawlings' "Ruby" and Neil Young's "Alabama," plus three other tracks. The EP, recorded at SiriusXM's headquarters in New York City, was released on April 27 via the band's own label, BOH Records.
Lee Ann Womack, Angaleena Presley, Brent Cobb and Danielle Bradbery are set to perform at the 2018 The Long Road Festival in the United Kingdom. Scheduled for Sept. 7-9 at Leicestershire, England's Stanford Hall, the festival will also feature performances from Aaron Watson, Billy Bragg, Yola Carter and British country duo the Shires. In addition to the music, moonshine tastings, songwriters rounds and Southern food will be offered; tickets for the festival are on sale now via TheLongRoadFestival.com.
Texas artist Paul Cauthen will release his new project, titled Have Mercy, in June. Cauthen describes the seven-song collection as "somewhere between an EP and an album;" it will feature the Texas Gentlemen as Cauthen's backing band. "I'm a singer not a preacher, but these songs are my sermon," Cauthen says in a statement. "We're ripping each other apart out there, and forgiveness and mercy are what's going to get us through. I want to use my voice the best I can to spread that message while I'm here on this Earth." Have Mercy is set for release on June 22 on Lightning Rod Records.
With CMA Fest 2018 just over a month away, the Music City-based festival just keeps getting better. The Grand Ole Opry has announced that it will host Blake Shelton, the Oak Ridge Boys, Charley Pride, Luke Combs, Maggie Rose and Josh Turner for performances at the iconic Nashville venue on the Thursday of the 2018 CMA Music Festival (June 7). Ashley McBryde, Carrie Underwood and Terri Clark are also set to perform earlier in the week, on June 5; McBryde will also perform for free in the Opry's plaza earlier in the day.
