Nancy Jones, wife of the late George Jones, doesn't plan on spending the one-year anniversary of her husband's passing on April 26 alone. Instead, she's planning a special event to honor his life at Woodlawn Cemetery, where he is buried, and inviting his fans to join in on the celebration.

“This day is going to be bittersweet,” she acknowledges. “I know how much people loved George, and the love has continued even a year later. I am so fortunate for the friends and fans that George and I made through the years. I want everyone to come celebrate with us, not because he is no longer with us, but to keep his legacy alive.”

Jones will also plant two dogwood trees at the 'He Stopped Loving Her Today' monument during the celebration, which will begin at 1PM.

The Woodlawn Cemetery is located at 660 Thompson Lane in Nashville, Tenn.

Jones passed away after battling several health issues, including a recurring respiratory infection. He was 81 years old.
