The 2015 CMA Awards are coming up in November, and now that the nominees have all been announced, The Boot wants to know who our readers think will be taking home the trophy in each category, from Musician of the Year to the night's highest honor, Entertainer of the Year. Five exceptionally talented artists are nominated in the Musician of the Year category -- but only one will be walking away with the award.

All five of the 2015 CMA Awards Musician of the Year nominees — Sam Bush (mandolin), Jerry Douglas (dobro), Paul Franklin (steel guitar), Dann Huff (guitar) and Mac McAnally (guitar) — were up for the same award at the 2014 CMA Awards. McAnally, a renowned studio musician and songwriter; member of Jimmy Buffett‘s backing band, the Coral Reefer Band; and an artist in his own right, won last year, for the seventh consecutive time, breaking a record for the most wins in the category. While all of the 2015 nominees are deserving of the trophy, McAnally has history on his side.

Bush, a Kentucky native, is known as the originator of the “newgrass” style; in fact, state legislation names Bowling Green, Ky., the birthplace of newgrass and Bush as the father of newgrass. Douglas, meanwhile, is a world-renowned dobro player with numerous Grammy Awards to his name. Already in 2015, he's won a Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album, for his band the Earls of Leicester's self-titled release, as well as six IBMA Awards: four for his work with the Earls of Leicester; one for the song “The Three Bells,” with Mike Auldridge and Rob Ickes; and one for Dobro Player of the Year.

Multi-instrumentalist Franklin is known for his steel guitar work, and he has played on more than 500 albums, while Huff's has played guitar for Madonna and Michael Jackson and teamed up with Keith Urban for Urban's last six albums.

The 2015 CMA Awards are scheduled to air live from Nashville on Nov. 4 at 8PM ET on ABC. For the eighth year, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood have been named as the hosts.
