Over the course of 2018, Morgan Wallen's rise to popularity has dramatically changed his life. However, the country singer says, one thing that hasn't changed is how his family treats him when he's back home.

"[I went and saw my great-grandmother] this past weekend. She's 91 years old, so she's had a great life, and she's the toughest person I know," Wallen recently recalled to The Boot and other media outlets at a press event. "She tells me she's proud of me about every 30 minutes, and asks me if I want a Little Debbie about every 30 minutes," he adds, cracking a smile.

"She watches TV, so automatically she's gonna look for the videos," he adds. "When my video starts to make it to No. 1 and stuff, [that's when she's like], 'Oh yeah, Morgan made it.'"

Wallen says that his entire family has supported his musical career ever since he began pursuing his dream: "They never held me back, and they never made me feel crazy at all for doing this," he shares. "That's been a blessing."

Wallen recently announced his 2019 headlining If I Know Me Tour, which will include a stop in Knoxville, Tenn., just a short drive away from his hometown of Sneedville. During that stop, he hopes to take some time to visit family.

"It's always good to get back home and see the people you love and get to spend time with your family on top of playing your music," Wallen explains.
