Miranda Lambert Wins 2015 ACM Award for Female Vocalist of the Year

Miranda Lambert received the 2015 ACM Award for Female Vocalist of the Year.

"Thank you so much, Texas. I love you," Lambert said from stage. "I love my job so much. I will never not love this job. And thank you so much to all these amazing fans that make it possible to do what we love."

Lambert has taken home the trophy in this category every year since 2010, making this her sixth consecutive win in the category. No other female in the history of the ACM Awards has won that many consecutive trophies for Female Vocalist of the Year.

The  singer is certainly worthy of the win. Her 2014 Platinum album debuted at No. 1 on both the all-genre Billboard 200 chart as well as the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, making her the first country artist in the history of Billboard to have all five albums debut in the top slot.

"Automatic," the first single from Platinum, landed at No. 1, as did the second single, "Somethin' Bad," with Carrie Underwood, which also won a 2015 Grammy Award for Best Country Album and was certified platinum, for sales of one million units.

The singer performed "Little Red Wagon," her latest single from Platinum, earlier in the ACM Awards broadcast.

Lambert walked into tonight's ceremony as the most-nominated country artist, with eight nods. So far tonight, she has won three trophies. She is also nominated for the night's highest honor, Entertainer of the Year.
