Your nights out with your friends are going to seem a little more mundane after hearing Maren Morris talk about being at the Grammy Awards with her pals. Although the country star is excited to have earned five nominations at this year's all-genre awards show, she recently told Taste of Country that she is extra thrilled because she'll be able to hang out with many of her talented friends at the show.

“I’m super pumped that all my friends are nominated this time like John and TJ Osborne [of Brothers Osborne] for [Best Country] Album, and Kacey [Musgraves],” Morris says. “It’s just a great year for all my buddies that got nominated. I’m hoping that they seat us next to each other so we can hang out all night.”

For her part, Morris is nominated at the 2019 Grammy Awards for the all-genre Record of the Year honor and Best Pop Duo / Group Performance, both for her song "The Middle" with Zedd and Grey, along with nods in the Best Country Solo Performance, Best Country Duo / Group Performance and Best Country Song categories. She is one of the most-nominated country artists this year.

Ahead of the 2019 Grammy Awards, Morris debuted a brand-new song, "Girl," on Jan. 17, after announcing the song's release the day before. The song is Morris' fifth career single and the first taste of her forthcoming sophomore album. That project is due out later in 2019 and follows her critically acclaimed 2016 studio debut, Hero.

The 2019 Grammy Awards will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif., on Feb. 10. The televised ceremony will begin at 8PM ET on CBS; the pre-telecast Premiere Ceremony will be available to stream online earlier in the evening. Alicia Keys is hosting the event, which will include Brandi CarlileKacey Musgraves and Dan + Shay, among others.
