Maddie & Tae Share ‘Start Here’ Cover, Track Listing

Maddie & Tae have revealed the cover and track listing of their upcoming debut album, Start Here. The record, which includes both their No.1 single, "Girl in a Country Song," as well as their current single, "Fly," will be released on Aug. 28 on Dot Record, an imprint of Big Machine Label Group.

The 11-track album is the product of a lot of hard work from both duo members, Maddie Marlow and Tae Dye, who co-wrote all of the songs on the album.

“We’ve been writing this record for five years, so we’ve had this kind of evolution of music," Dye notes, "Our journey over the past five years has changed a lot, but it’s been fun for us, ’cause we’ve gotten to write about it and kind of get our different emotions out.”

Adds Marlow, “It’s such a fun experience getting to kind of create something from nothing with your best friend. There’s so many songs on this record where we remember that writing session, sharing that story and having it all come together.”

Maddie & Tae will spend the summer crossing the country, serving as the opening act on Dierks Bentley‘s 2015 Sounds of Summer Tour. The busy few months will hopefully ease any anxiety they may have about the release of their freshman record.

“We poured our whole hearts into Start Here, and I cannot wait to just show our fans the whole Maddie & Tae spiel,” Marlow says.
