Luke Bryan stopped a show in Tampa, Fla. in October, during the final week of his sold-out Dirt Road Diaries tour, when a fight broke out among concert attendees. Now, the 'Drink a Beer' singer is speaking out about the incident.

“We don’t even have a protocol for those moments; I can see a fight about to happen and look at a security guy and squash it,” he tells Buffalo, N.Y. radio station WYRK. “But this thing happened and a guy was hurt pretty bad and they needed to get him seen about. It was very unfortunate.”

While the Georgia native says he is sorry for the guy's injury, there is a bit of humor in the situation. “A girl started it, that’s what was funny,: Bryan recalls. "Two girls started fighting and then the guys finished it with each other."

While Bryan hopes that an incident doesn't happen again when he kicks off his That's My Kind of Night tour in January, he offers a stern warning for any fans who misbehave at any of of his future shows.

“Anybody who fights again, we’re going to send your ass to jail," he says.

Chances are, the next crowd he plays for will be on their best behavior. Bryan will perform on tonight's 47th annual CMA Awards, where he is nominated for three awards, including Entertainer of the Year. The award ceremony will air live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena at 8PM ET on ABC.
