Lee Ann WomackLee Ann Womack is taking a little time off from touring with Reba McEntire and George Strait to play for a worthwhile -- and green -- cause. The Grammy-winning singer will be joined by guest Mark Chesnutt, when she performs as part of a series of twilight concerts, held August 6 - 8, benefiting the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Ill.

Other musical guests for the event include Lyle Lovett, along with his Large Band and Marc Cohn, as well as a special daytime family concert on August 7 by Ralph's World. The Morton Arboretum is known for their tireless effort to protect local trees and plants, as well as providing educational resources to aid in preservation around the world.

Lee Ann will be on the road with Reba and George through the fall. She's also hard at work on a new album, which she says is becoming a lengthy labor of love. "I've been in the studio for a few months, and I'm writing and looking for a couple more songs," she reveals to the Denver Post. "The label's been really good to me. Because of the kind of music I make, they can afford to sit back and let me do my thing and make the best record I can."
