LeAnn Rimes Undergoes Surgery

LeAnn Rimes will undergo surgery today in Los Angeles, after suffering a "tear in the tissue" of one of her legs. "It's a minor surgery, but because of the infection it was urgent that she takes care of it right away," her publicist said.

The 23-year-old country phenom was forced to cancel three concerts this week due to the injury, including shows in Hampton Beach, N.H., and a two-night stand in Ontario. Rimes is expected to perform the remaining dates of her 'This Woman' tour following a three- to four-day recovery.
