Like any 16-year-old would be, Lauren Alaina is excited to get herself some fancy new wheels. But since she isn't quite like other 16-year-olds, Lauren's new ride is a bit out of the ordinary, too. The Dalton Daily Citizen reports that the 'American Idol' runner-up stopped by the Rossville, Ga., Ford dealership to pick up her prize from the show, a 550-horsepower, convertible 2011 Ford Mustang Shelby GT. When she picked up the car, Lauren was decked out in a red and white cheerleading outfit to match her bright red Mustang with white racing stripes. Her love-at-first-sight remarks: "This car is bad!"

The Mustang has just 30 miles on it, but don't expect Lauren to be running up that number just yet. The teen star has yet to get her driver's license. Lauren's mother, Kristy Suddeth, drove the Mustang off the lot.

"She actually can get her driver's license, but she's just been on the road so much [she hasn't had a chance to]," her mom explained. Lauren does have a learner's permit, but the classic American car is still a bit mystifying to her.

"I'm nervous!" she giggled from inside the car. "It looks good ... There's a bunch of pedals down here!" Fresh off the American Idols LIVE! tour, Lauren is revving up to the Oct. 11 release of her debut album 'Wildflower.'
