Lauren Alaina Accepts Fan’s Marriage Proposal

For a second there, 'American Idol' runner-up Lauren Alaina was off the market! The country chanteuse got the surprise of her life in Providence, Rhode Island over the weekend. "I don't have a ring but ..." said a fan, dropping to his knees in front Lauren in the parking lot. "Will you marry me?"

After a bout of shocked giggling, the 16 year-old Lauren accepted 17-year-old internet personality Zack Tremblay's marriage proposal, if only for a day. "Can I marry you for tonight? Just for tonight?" she responded. "A husband for the night! I've never had that happen to me before!" (Watch the proposal in the video player below.)

Lauren's debut album 'Wildflower' drops October 11. "It has a flavor for everybody," she tells The Boot. "It's a mixture of all different songs, so I hope it will appeal to all different kinds of people."
