Kristian Bush has released a lyric video for his latest single, "Light Me Up." The song is from his recent Southern Gravity album.

In the lyric video, lines like, "Like an old Hollywood spotlight / A sunset painted just right / With everything you do / Yeah, baby, you light me up / Baby, you light me up," flash into view while images of lights, interspersed with real-life couples in love, appear on the screen.

“This song, "Light Me Up," is one that I have wanted to write for a while now — but I knew it would have to be from a man’s voice, so I waited,” Bush says of the song. "I am excited to finally have the chance now that I am making a solo album. It’s the chance to say to women everywhere that there really is nothing in the world like the feeling of being loved by you. No feeling even close.”

Bush co-wrote all 12 of the tracks on Southern Gravity. He narrowed the final 12 down from more than 300 songs to find the messages that he wanted to share on the record.

“Every thing that I absorbed tells me that the story matters the most," Bush tells Country Music is Love. "The song matters even more than the singer. When you hear something new on the radio — you don’t know anything about it — [and] you go, ‘I don’t know who that is, but I love that song,’ the reason you’re saying that is because it made you feel something. It’s speaking to you as if it’s your life.”
