Kip Moore Looks Forward to Building a Friendship With Luke Bryan on What Makes You Country Tour
Luke Bryan is headed out on the road, with Kip Moore and the Cadillac Three along for the ride as the opening acts for the first leg of his What Makes You Country Tour. They're all excited to travel and play together, but are the artists personal friends? Nope, according to Moore -- at least not yet.
"I could sit here and be politically correct, like you're probably hoping I'll be, and say that me and [Bryan] have been boys for forever," Moore told the Boot and other reports with a laugh at a recent press conference. "Honestly, I've only ever been around him in passing. I have yet to build a real friendship with him."
That being said, Moore has nothing but good things to say about the interactions he has had with Bryan: "I think he's a really great dude, and I'm sure we're going to have a great time on the road together," he continues. "When I have been around him, he's always been the nicest, most gracious human being."
While Moore is excited to build a relationship with Bryan on tour, he's got friends in the guys of the Cadillac Three already. The singer says he and TC3 lead singer Jaren Johnston "have been buddies forever," and the two acts toured together back in 2016, so Moore is grateful to Bryan for helping facilitate another opportunity for them to get out on the road together.
"I'm just glad that a guy like [Bryan], who's had all the success that he's had, is taking me and my buddies out," Moore says. "I'm looking forward to having a good time."
Moore, whose recent single "More Girls Like You" peaked at No. 1 on the Mediabase chart in October of 2017, started his time on the road with Bryan on Feb. 16.
