Litle Big Town's Kimberly Schlapman has been sharing with TV viewers one of the talents she has that extends far beyond her country-music career. And she's set to do even more of it during season two as the host of her GAC cooking show, "Kimberly's Simply Southern."

"I'm so thrilled that I've been given a second season of 'Kimberly's Simply Southern'," she says. "This cooking show is a childhood dream of mine and I have to keep pinching myself to make sure it really has come true! I look forward to many more adventures on the road and to more fun in the kitchen with my family and friends. Thanks for watching!"

Kimberly admits it's been a challenge to get accustomed to performing in front of TV cameras instead of before a live audience.

"It's different than being on stage," she tells The Boot. "I'm used to people looking at me. I'm not used to people watching me as intently as they are to make sure I'm not making a mistake! [At home], there might be a dozen people watching me cook, we're chatting and having a great time and I never notice it. But in here, the cameras are rolling, the food stylist is looking to make sure everything is looking perfect and the culinary producer is making sure I'm following every single ingredient."

The songstress will have to juggle filming the new episodes with a packed 2013 schedule as a part of the Grammy-nominated group. The foursome will headline their own Tornado tour, which kicks off Jan. 31 in Murray, Ky. They'll also serve as an opening act for Keith Urban on his North American trek, which begins in July. Keep track of their concert dates here.
