Kelsea Ballerini Tells Off Social Media ‘Troll’ With Body-Positive Message
Kelsea Ballerini's had enough of internet trolls trying to judge her. After a social media user posted a rude message on one of Ballerini's Instagram posts, the singer took the opportunity to tell the person off.
On Thursday (Nov. 8), after performing at the 2018 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, Ballerini shared a photo of herself on the runway during her performance. A user named @kitty7722scorp posted in reply, "Lose some weight" -- and Ballerini was having none of it. Calling the person a "troll," Ballerini replied with a well-written takedown.
"I'm not responding to this to give you attention because you don't deserve that, I'm responding because I am a healthy, normal chick which I pride myself on and work hard for, and want other young girls to see that and know that 'skinny' is not always the goal," writes the "Miss Me More" singer. "And for you to think it's okay to comment on my weight or size is disgusting. I'm going to get a burger now. Bye."

For maximum effect, Ballerini took a screenshot of the interaction and posted it as its own Instagram photo, complete with sassy GIFs. "Not today Satan," she captioned the post. In addition to Ballerini's loyal fans coming to her defense, fellow artist Kane Brown voiced his support by commenting "get 2 burgers" on her Instagram post.
Ballerini and the Chainsmokers performed their song "This Feeling" as the models walked the runway at the 2018 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. The show will air on Dec. 2 on ABC; in addition to Ballerini and the Chainsmokers, the event will also feature performances from Bebe Rexha, Halsey, Rita Ora, Shawn Mendes and the Struts.
Ballerini released her sophomore album, Unapologetically, in 2017, but she recently dropped a deluxe version of the project, featuring four new tracks. The country star has announced her headlining Miss Me More Tour, which will begin in the spring of 2019 and take her to arenas around the country. Prior to hitting the road for her own trek, Ballerini will be on the road with Kelly Clarkson, for Clarkson's 2019 Meaning of Life Tour.
