Keith Urban's tours just keep getting bigger and better, as he sells out shows all over the world. The notoriously humble musician admits he doesn't deserve all the credit ... He's taken some tips from a fellow country superstar.

"I think a lot of about the way Kenny [Chesney] has done it," Keith tells CMT. "He's done it the way you're supposed to do it -- building slowly over a long period of time. It's not about going in and playing arenas. It's about doing the little clubs. Then you do the theaters, arenas and then out to the stadiums. It's such a perfect template of how to do it."

It's a template that has also worked well for Keith. "The tour probably went way better than what I was hoping for," he says of his 2009 Escape Together World tour. "I was hoping for it to go really well, but it went even better than that, so I came away from the end of last year thrilled -- beyond thrilled -- the tour did as well as it did. So all the rest is kind of crazy."

Keith also credits his own emotional health for his soaring career. "Just finding a center in life has had a huge influence on everything else," he tells CMT. "For getting on stage and singing to playing live that I've done my whole life, it has taken on a whole new depth for me. And the music that we made on 'Defying Gravity,' at this time, it all came together."

2009 may have been an unforgettable year for Keith, but 2010 is already giving last year a run for its money. Nominated for two ACM Awards and two CMT Awards, Keith is writing songs for another album, as well as gearing up for several dates on the Eagles' tour this summer. He's also hitting the road with former 'American Idol' winner Kris Allen for a few shows later this year.
