Kacey Musgraves has appeared in a "day in the life" video as part of a series highlighting the Grammy nominees for Best New Artist.

Musgraves is nominated for four Grammy awards, including Best New Artist, Best Country Song (for both 'Merry Go Round' and Miranda Lambert's 'Mama's Broken Heart') and Best Country Album for 'Same Trailer, Different Park.' She will also be performing at the awards show.

"When I found out I was nominated, I freaked out," she says in the video. "I was actually on stage. It was just a really awesome moment to be able to share that with my band, and I got to 'cheers' the crowd."

Musgraves explains how the past year has been since she blew up the country music scene, saying that she has felt a lot of support not just from country music, but from people across genres. It's been a whirlwind of a year for the 'Follow Your Arrow' singer, but she says that she is trying to stay in the moment and enjoy the journey.

"I think too many times we're really just focused on what's next and what the next thing is and I really don't want to be like that. I want to really remember all these crazy firsts that are happening to me."

Musgraves is currently on the road with Lady Antebellum's Take Me Downtown Tour and will be joining Katy Perry on her Prismatic Tour in August.
