It was a birthday to remember for Joel Crouse. The singer, who turned 22 on Sunday (June 14), celebrated the occasion a day early, with more than 25,000 fans.

The singer-songwriter was in Buffalo, N.Y. as part of the all-star line-up for Taste of Country on Saturday (June 13). Local radio station WYRK learned of the momentous occasion and surprised Crouse with a birthday cake, then invited all of the attendees to join in singing a rousing rendition of 'Happy Birthday.'

Ironically, Crouse shares a birthday with actress and singer -- and rumored girlfriend -- Lucy Hale, who turned 25 on June 14.

Crouse's return to the stage might have been his best birthday gift of all. He was involved in a serious car accident last month, when his car overturned after he lost control of his vehicle.

“Last night a miracle happened,” he said of the incident. “A little banged up but I have no doubt in my mind that God saved my life last night. I am incredibly thankful and grateful for my health. Also thank you for the prayers.”

Crouse will continue his series of shows later this week with a show in Missouri, and an appearance at the Grand Ole Opry. See all of his upcoming appearances here.
