Jason Aldean has yet another accolade to add to his growing list. The multi-platinum selling singer has been named the Top Male Country Artist by the RIAA, with more than 21.5 million RIAA Digital Single Certifications, making him the most downloaded male country artist in history.

"This is such a huge honor, and one that everyone on my team earned together," Aldean says. "I love country music, and I wouldn't want to be doing anything else…there was never a Plan B for me. I can't thank the RIAA or country music fans enough for helping us get to this level…it's unbelievable!"

“On behalf of myself and my RIAA colleagues, we are delighted to recognize Jason Aldean for this prestigious honor,” RIAA Chairman and CEO Cary Sherman adds. “We congratulate Broken Bow Records and Jason on this singular achievement and look forward to many more years of great country music to come."

The Georgia native's latest single, 'Burnin' It Down,' is currently the top-selling single in the country among all genres, as well as his biggest debut on country radio.

“Sonically, this track definitely feels like something different for me and what I have typically put out as the lead single off my previous albums,” Aldean says of the song, which is the lead single from his upcoming new album. “I’ve pretty much always gone with a really guitar-driven song that’s pretty in your face, and this is more of a laid back thing with a really cool groove ... There are some different things on this new album, and I hope this sets a good tone for what’s to come.”

Aldean is currently crossing the country on his Burn It Down Tour, which heads to Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois this weekend. See a list of all of his upcoming shows here, and download 'Burnin' It Down' here.
