Jason Aldean Preps for CMAs and Grammy Gig With Gaga

"I will not be wearing any kind of jacket with meat hanging off of it," Jason Aldean jokes with HitFix when asked about his upcoming gig with Lady Gaga. The country superstar will cap off a breakthrough year by sharing the stage with the fashion-forward pop singer for the 'Grammy Nominations Concert Live! - Countdown to Music's Biggest Night' as one of the first two performers announced for the event. "It's cool to be a part of something like that," he adds. "The Grammys, obviously for the music industry, are as big as it gets and so the fact that I'm just a part of anything that has to do with the Grammys is pretty cool."

Also on his agenda for the month of November is the pending CMA Awards, in which Jason is nominated for five trophies, including the coveted Entertainer of the Year award. Out of all his nods, Jason admits he has his eye on the top prize.

"That's the one," he says of the Entertainer honors. "I've built my career on my live show. That's the biggest award that as a country artist you can win ... There are other ones that are great. The Album of the Year is phenomenal, because I'd get to celebrate with my producer and my band who plays on my records. Male Vocalist, that one's a big honor. But to me, just building the career the way that I have, Entertainer, that's the one. If I only won one award ever, that would be the one that I would want."

With his just-wrapped headlining tour behind him, the singer looks forward to spending time at home with his wife and daughters, as well focusing on his next studio album. "We're getting ready to go back in and start recording the next record too," says Jason, who reports he'll be in the studio working on new music this week.

Jason's current album, 'My Kinda Party,' recently celebrated its one-year anniversary on the albums chart. The double-platinum disc has spawned the No. 1 singles 'Don't You Wanna Stay' and 'Dirt Road Anthem,' as well as the Top 5 title track and 'Tattoos on This Town,' Jason's current chart-climber.
