Actress and country singer Jamie Lynn Spears married her longtime boyfriend, James Watson, in New Orleans Friday night (March 1).

E! News reports the couple married at the Audobon Tea Room in New Orleans, in the presence of 150-200 people. Spears' older sister, pop superstar Britney Spears, and her boyfriend were seen catching a flight out of Los Angeles Friday to attend the nuptials, while Jamie and her mother, Lynne Spears, were snapped by photographers as they visited a nail salon near the family home in Kent, La.

This is Spears' first marriage. She was previously engaged to Casey Aldridge, who is the father of her five-year-old daughter, Maddie. Her father, James, walked her down the aisle. Maddie served as the flower girl in the ceremony, while Britney's two sons, Jayden James and Sean, served as ring bearers.

The 22-year-old performer first came to fame for her role on the Nickelodeon program 'Zoey 101.' That show came to an end amidst scandal when the then-16-year-old star announced that she was pregnant. In more recent years she has been largely focused on raising her daughter, and moved to Nashville to pursue her dream of performing country music. She released her debut single, 'How Could I Want More,' in the fall.

The song was inspired by her relationship with Watson.

“Relationships go through ups and downs,” she explains to Taste of Country. “This was a point where I’d just broken up with him and this song came right from such a vulnerable place that I was in, every time I sing it it just brings me right back there. And to look at where we are now … So every time I go to sing it, all those emotions just come running back up and I just end up crying.”

The Boot extends our congratulations to the happy couple and their family!
