Jack Ingram to Judge Budding Stars

Jack Ingram has signed on to be a celebrity judge on the upcoming reality-competition show, 'Next GAC Star.' The reigning ACM Top New Male Vocalist says he'll try to balance critiquing the contestants with mentoring them.

"It's never easy to act as an expert and 'judge' someone else whose music style or approach may be different from yours," Ingram tells GAC. "But I think I can assist these artists by providing feedback they can take into consideration and use to better their music."

'Next GAC Star' has announced its six semi-finalists -- three chosen by national voting online and three chosen by music industry insiders. On September 3, GAC will present a one-hour special on the contestants. The final competition will air September 10, with the winner receiving a record deal, a Gibson guitar and a music video to air on GAC.
