The Indigo Girls have announced that they will release their fourteenth studio album, 'Beauty Queen Sister' in October.

Emily Saliers and Amy Ray, the Grammy-winning folk rock duo collectively known as the Indigo Girls, have reunited with longtime producer Peter Collins in Nashville to record the 13-song album, which will be their fourth release on their own IG Recordings imprint, through Vanguard Records.

On 'Beauty Queen Sister,' the Indigo Girls return with drummer Brady Blade, bassist Frank Swart and Viktor Krauss (brother of Alison), musicians they credit with helping to define the sound and "organic approach" of their new release.

"Many of our players are top-notch Nashville talent -- you just don't get any better than that," says Emily. Also featured on the album are singer-songwriter Lucy Wainwright Roche, Irish singer Damien Dempsey, violinist Luke Bull, and Atlanta band the Shadowboxers.

The Indigo Girls will be launching a fall tour to support 'Beauty Queen Sister,' with cities and dates to be announced shortly.

'Beauty Queen Sister' is in stores on October 4. Click here for a free download of the album's first single, 'Making Promises.'
