Between her MusicCares Person of the Year honor and her tribute at the 2019 Grammy Awards, Dolly Parton has been in the spotlight quite a bit recently. So it's perfect timing that alt-country quartet Dearling selected one of Parton's most famous tracks to perform for The Boot's February Guest Room Sessions installment.

Readers can press play above to watch Dearling's Rachel James, her partner and guitarist Dave Preston, and their special guest, Elise Lieberth, perform Parton's "Jolene" in James and Preston's living room.

"It's one of her many smashes and sounds so lovely with harmonies ... What a writer and singer and human!" James tells The Boot. She's been working with Lieberth on the latter's new record, "and through that process, we have all realized what an incredible talent and beautiful soul she is."

"Jolene," of course, is the title track of Parton's 1974 album, a No. 1 hit and one of Parton's most beloved tracks. The now-classic country song has been covered by numerous artists and is an important part of the genre's songbook.

On Feb. 22, Dearling will release a new EP, Silver and Gold, which follows their 2016 debut project, Inheritance. Fans can keep up with the band via their official website.
