Garth Brooks Says New Tour, New Music Are Coming
Garth Brooks' Facebook Live series Inside Studio G made its return on Monday night (June 4), and with it came plenty of big news from the country superstar. During his chat with fans, Brooks shared that both a new tour and new music are on the way.
Brooks revealed the news of both another tour and another album in response to fans' questions; queries about the possibility of both received an enthusiastic "Yes!" from the singer. However, Brooks wouldn't reveal too many details about either, other than to say that the new music will be headed to country radio soon and that his next trek will be on a "whole different level."
Brooks also shared during Inside Studio G that he'll announce his next set of tour dates in chunks, rather than one city at a time, as he did during his 2014-2017 World Tour. That trek, which wrapped in December, featured Brooks' wife Trisha Yearwood as his special guest at all shows.
Brooks has previously hinted that both new music and another tour were on the docket: Late in 2017, he was talking about a potential live project, though he's also said numerous times that he's working on another studio album, to follow 2016's Gunslinger. Tour-wise, while on the North American dates of his World Tour, he shared that he was working on plans to get over to Europe and Australia.
Perhaps Brooks' fans will get more details about both endeavors soon: The singer will make a special appearance at the 2018 CMA Music Festival on Saturday (June 9). He'll participate in a Q&A at the CMA Fest Close Up Stage that day, at 12:15PM.
