Less than 24 hours after announcing Chicago as the opening city of his upcoming comeback tour, Garth Brooks has released the date and ticket information for the show.

Brooks will kick off his first tour in almost 20 years on Thursday, Sept. 4 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill., a suburb of Chicago.

“As an entertainer, you get asked a lot, ‘What are the best cities to play?’" Brooks says in a press release. "Without hesitation, I rattle five or six of the best places to play and that list always includes Chicago. It is the perfect city to launch the world tour!”

Tickets will go on sale Friday, July 25 at 10AM CST. There will be a six ticket limit per purchase. Tickets will be available at www.ticketmaster.com, by calling 1-800-745-3000 or via Ticketmaster Express at 1-866-448-7849. There will be no sales at the venue box office or Ticketmaster outlets on July 25.

In keeping with Brooks' stated intention to keep ticket prices low for the tour, tickets for Chicago will cost $56.94, plus $2.56 tax and a six dollar service charge, totaling $65.50.

The singer has also posted an announcement to his official website that reads, "Digital - the new era begins ...," although there does not appear to be a way to access digital music via the website currently.
